MY LIFE, MY STORY

 Sincere Malik Melvin was born November 9,2000 in Salisbury, Maryland. As a child he loved basketball, riding his power wheel and playing with his family and friends. Sincere was full of life and loved to laugh, play, joke and was always wanting to have fun. Sincere was a well-known and his presence alone made everyone happy. At the age of 8 Sincere resided with his mother primarily due to father relocating to Florida. Sincere began to display signs of depression at the age of 12 and continued to battle with depression until the age of 17. Sincere attended Wicomico County and Howard County schools and graduated May 29,2018 from Mount Hebron High School in Ellicott City, MD where he was an Honors Student. Sincere was a brilliant student and avid reader. Sincere had just begun his college journey at the University of Maryland Baltimore County as a Meyerhoff Scholar and recipient of a Distinguished Scholar Award. Sincere was majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and minoring in Mathematics. Sincere completed suicide July 11th and later passed  away on July 12th 2018 at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
